Coronavirus & Health Cover: Explained

COVID-19 has affected almost every aspect of our lives. Some of you may be wondering how it has affected us here at Lime and your Health Cover. We thought it might be useful to have a handy little Q&A. If you have any more questions or want to ask something specific to your policy with Lime, please just drop us a line at contact and one of our friendly team will get back to you before you can say “pandemic” (well, nearly).

Is my Health Cover still valid?

Yes, absolutely! If you purchased a product with Lime paid your premiums, you are covered just as you were before COVID-19 showed up!

Can I still purchase Health Cover?

Have prices changed as a result of COVID-19?

Nope. We haven’t changed a thing. You can still get health cover to top up NHS care when you need it, starting from just a few pounds a month.

Are the services covered by the  Health Cover still available?

Yes! The cancer cover product gives you a lump sum on diagnosis, nothing has changed there at all. You can also get up to £100,000 towards recommended drugs not covered by the NHS. This is also exactly the same during the pandemic, provided treatment is approved it can then go ahead.

Have treatments been cancelled because of COVID-19?

Some NHS treatments have been postponed because of COVID-19 although in many cases things are now getting back up and running again. If you have a cancer diagnosis you should have already been told but if you have more questions the best thing to do is to contact your doctor or medical team to ask them what’s happening and what you can expect!

Are you bringing out more products as a result of COVID-19?
